WCEC seeks a talented individual with leadership qualities.

Reports to: Transportation Coordinator

The ideal candidate possesses the following:

Areas of Responsibilities: 

  • Maintains professional behavior, including confidentiality 
  • Picks up and delivers children according to the scheduled time.
  • Confirms that all children are off the bus at the end of each trip.
  • Greets parents and children when picking up and returning children.
  • Drive van for WCEC, Inc. to provide transportation:
    • For field trips, as needed.
    • For purchase of supplies, as requested.
  • Collects and distributes all correspondence to and from all programs in a timely manner.
  • Reports all pertinent information regarding children’s family situation to the appropriate agency authority.
  • Responsible for monitoring enrollment of the Priority Population Contracts 
  • Is responsible for maintenance of vehicle including:
    • Cleaning vehicle inside and out.
    • Performing routine maintenance and repairs.
    • Performs daily pre and post trip van inspections.
    • Annual registration and quarterly inspections as required by Registry of Motor Vehicles.
    • Maintain First Aid kit as required by Dept. of Early Education & Care.
  • Maintains transportation records:
    • Children’s Emergency Authorization forms.
    • Repair logs.
    • Gasoline receipts.
    • Other records as requested by Human Resource Administrator. 
  • Verifies that agency cell phone is on and operational at all times.
  • Perform other job related duties, as assigned by Transportation Coordinator.
  • Ensure that sign in/sign out sheets are done on a daily basis. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must meet employment requirements of WCEC, Inc. including maintaining current First Aid and CPR training and health form.
  • 7D license required. Must maintain a 7D license in good standing with the Registry of Motor Vehicles
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate with parents and staff in a positive manner.  Bi-lingual preferred.
